Law of Attraction Article: Manifestation Exercise #3 – Give the Universe Its Own Task List

The following is an exercise that I have learned from Abraham-Hicks. They refer to is as the Placemat Exercise. However, because I do my tasks list on my computer or in a notebook I started mentally calling it the Universe Task List and the name stuck with me.

In case you have never heard of Abraham-Hicks, Esther Hicks is a medium who has long acted as a channel for a nonphysical group of beings known as Abraham. While I know some of you may shy away from the word channel or medium, some of the inspiration they provide regarding using the Law of Attraction is the most enlightening I have ever come across, so I think it would be well worth your time to check them out.

In this case I believe the story goes that Esther Hicks was sitting in a diner one day with her husband talking about how overwhelmed she felt over all the tasks that she had to accomplish within the upcoming days. She received a message from Abraham to turn over the placemat that was sitting in front of her and draw a line down the middle of the paper and a line across the top so it resembled the letter t. She was to write Me on the left side and Universe on the right side.

Then on the left side of the paper she was to write down all of the things that she was inspired to accomplish that day. The ones she was ready and willing to take action on immediately. The tasks that felt right and clear to her.

On the right side of the paper she was to write down all of the things she wanted Universe to take care of for her. Things she wasn’t exactly clear on, felt any kind of resistance to doing, or items she hadn’t even figured how to start accomplishing yet.

The point of this exercise is to 1. Get yourself clear on exactly what it is you are wanting and 2. Allowing and knowing that it is going to happen.

For example, a hypothetical Universe Task List I would use for myself would be:

ME:

1.Write at least 2 fun articles today.

2. Meditate for 20 minutes.

3. Do my yoga.

4. Have lunch with my best friend

5. Respond to some of the emails I have received

6. Update my website with some new articles from other authors

All of the items above are tasks I feel good and inspired about accomplishing. I am happy and enthusiastic about doing them.

Now on the left side I write what I would like Universe to take care of. Items I am not “in the mood for” or “ready to deal with yet” such as:

UNIVERSE:

1. Find me an easy and pain free way to come up with the money to pay the car insurance next month

2. Send me inspiration to help me get clear on the information I want to include in my new ebook

3. Find me an easy and pain free way to get out of a social obligation I’d rather not attend (in your case be specific on what that engagement is)

4. Find the right person who will be able to fix the bug on my computer

5. Find me a simple solution to getting the garage cleaned out

It does not matter how many things you give the Universe (or your higher self, if you prefer) to do. Just know that you are not alone here. What you ask for you will receive.

So as you write out what you want Universe to accomplish, act and feel as if it is without a doubt, going to be taken care of. Feel as if you just handed this list to the most reliable Manager you have ever met and that you are so confident that these things are going to be done, that you do not even have to give them a second thought.

You will be thrilled and amazed at how this works!

For instance, let‘s go back to the example of the list I would give Universe to take care of.

1. Money for the car insurance. How would Universe handle it? Maybe my mother wins money in Atlantic City and she decides to share some with me and I also receive an unexpected check in the mail. Between the two of them – they more than cover the premium.

2. The inspiration for my new ebook. Universe urges me to make an unplanned stop at the library where I find a new book that just came in and I find it is exactly the subject I feel inspired to write about.

3. The engagement I didn’t want to attend. The people I was supposed to meet with call me and tell me something else came up and apologize because we will have to do it another time. No hurt feelings on either side.

4. My computer problem. I find out the guy who runs my yoga class also fixes computers on the side and charges less than half what a professional would. I find this out by simply chatting with the person next to me while doing my fun task of taking the yoga class in the first place.

5. My garage getting cleaned out. My niece has just gotten into selling on Ebay and offers to clean out my garage if she can sell and keep the profit on the items I know longer want to keep.

I can‘t tell you the thrill-chills you will get as you watch Universe work out these kind of “miracles” without any effort on your part.

Now there is one last step to this exercise. As Universe goes about its business and accomplishes each of these tasks for you, it is important that you acknowledge it, be grateful for it and encourage more.

Anytime the Universe easily handles one of my tasks and I have clapped my hands together gleefully (and yes, there have been many times I have literally clapped my hands together gleefully) I always follow up with a “Thank You Universe and more of that please!”

It helps you to take notice of “who” is responsible for helping you out and reinforces the belief that you really can depend on it for the future. Plus when you say “more of that please” and you start knowing it is really coming, you get more excited about handing over the next task and watching with wonder to see how Universe will work it out.

I’ll be honest, while I used to write out this list almost everyday, I now find myself doing it more often mentally. Now if something comes up that I don’t feel like dealing with, I’ll immediately throw it in Universe’s court. For instance, if the boss says I have to work late tonight I give an immediate mental “Yuck! Universe I’ll let you handle this one. I want to go home happily on time tonight.” Then I forget about it and watch as the Universe does its stuff and reminds the boss that his child has a recital tonight and we can’t work late after all.

But if you are just starting with this exercise, I would definitely do the physical list. It will give you a great feeling of relief as you write down the tough things you want “your manager” to deal with, so you can stay focused on the things that you are inspired to do today.

Affirmation From the Law of Attraction

I personally do not do affirmations-for a well disciplined mind, affirmations are the slow way to get what you desire. I am not saying I have this kind of mind. On the contrary, I am a slow thinker, my mind wonders, and I need time to think out of the box.

My philosophy has always been you can get there quicker by going in a straight line. However, I have collected one or two affirmations that I believe are very powerful and help me overcome decades of negative thought. This affirmation was received with the blessing of Abraham from the book by Esther and Jerry Hicks, “The Law of Attraction.” If you are like me and you have to be given a good kick every once and awhile, this affirmation may gently bring you back on track….

I like being here; I recognize the value and power of this time.

I feel very good to be here.

I see myself in a sort of total package, one that I know is of my own creating, and certainly a package of my choosing. I am full of energy in this picture of myself-tireless, and really moving through life experience without resistance. As I see myself gliding about, moving in and out of my car, in and out of buildings, in and out of rooms, in and out of conversations, and in and out of life experiences, I see myself flowing effortlessly, comfortably, and happily.

I see myself attracting only those who are in harmony with my current intent. And I am clearer and clearer in every moment about what it is I want. When I get into my automobile and I am moving to a place, I see myself arriving healthy and refreshed and on time, and prepared for whatever it is that I am about to do there. I see myself dressed to perfection in just the manner that I choose for myself. And it is nice to know that it matters not what others are even thinking about what I am choosing.

What is important is that I am pleased with me, and as I see myself, I certainly am.

I recognize that I am unlimited in all facets of my life….I have a bank account balance that is unlimited, and as I see myself moving through life experiences, it is exhilarating to know that there is nothing that I am choosing that is limited by money. I am making all of my decisions based upon whether I want the experience or not-not based upon whether or not I can afford the experience. For I know I am a magnet who attracts, at any point, whatever prosperity, health and relationships I choose.

I choose absolute and continuing abundance, for I understand that there is no limit to the abundance in the Universe, and that by my attracting abundance to myself I am not limiting another…. There is enough for everyone. The key is for each of us to see it and want it-and then we will each attract it. And so, I have chosen “unlimited,” not necessarily putting a big stash away-for I understand that I have the power to attract it as I want it for whatever I want if for. And as I think of something else that I want, the money flows to me easily, so I have an unlimited supply of abundance and prosperity.

There are abundant aspects in every area of my life…. I see myself surrounded by others who, like me want growth; and who are drawn to me by my willingness to allow them to be, do, or have whatever they want while I do not need to draw into my experience those things that they may be choosing that I do no like. I see myself interacting with others; and talking, laughing, and enjoying that which is perfect in them while they enjoy that which is perfect in me. All of us are appreciating one another, and none of us is criticizing or noticing those things that we do not like.

I see myself in perfect health. I see myself in absolute prosperity. I see myself invigorated with life, again appreciating this physical life experience that I wanted so very much as I decided to be a physical Being. It is glorious to be here as a physical Being, making decisions with my physical brain but accessing the power of the Universe through the power of the Law of Attraction. And it is from this marvelous state of Being that I now attract more of the same. It is good. It is fun. I like it very much.

I will leave this Workshop, and I will set out-during the remainder of this day-to look for more things that I like. It is nice to know that if I see one who is prosperous, but sick, I do not need to bring the whole package into my Workshop, just the part that I like. So I will bring the example of prosperity, and I will leave out the example of sickness. My work, for now, is done.

Law of Attraction â?? Take Action

The Laws of Attraction have been all the rage as of the past year or so now especially after the â??The Secretâ? movie, which I really enjoyed, spiking the interest in the laws of attraction to the highest it has ever been.

Now these are a set of assumed laws in the history of science. These universal laws of attraction are the most powerful forces in the universe and they are as old as time.

The laws of attraction are simple based on the premise that like attracts alike, you pull toward you that which is reflecting you. Whatever vibration you are sending out the universe you will receive the same vibration back to you. The laws are based on trust in that once you decide on something that you desire you will acquire it in an unspecified amount of time. By learning and understanding these laws and how they work with your conscious and subconscious mind and then taking action, you will be able to create the life that you want and wish to live everyday.

Also taking action is the key to making the laws of attraction work for you, simply knowing and understanding them is useless without action. Just as the saying goes, knowledge is not power, the application of knowledge is power and unless you take focused action every day consistently these laws will work against you instead of for you. Unlike many of things that you avoid and they will not affect you, the law of attraction is always at work and it can not be avoided.

There are 7 laws of attraction and they are working at all times and they are working in according to our nature and the nature of all things and they are not choosy about who can attract what and they are very important.

Historically the laws evolved from the laws of affinity and are about trusting. The problem usually for most people is that they end up getting the very thing that they do not want or afraid of simply because that is what they have been focusing their energy on the most over a certain period of time. The laws of attraction can not tell the difference of what you want or do not want. They simply read and react to that which you are focusing on the most. You will receive what you think about.

Always remember that the laws of attraction are powerful and at work at all times that is why itâ??s so important to focus on your thoughts throughout the day. You must learn how to stay focused on your desires that you wish to have, not you wish to avoid, and in by doing so you will bring those desires to you.

Just like anything else that you are doing or have done in your life that needed to be done correctly you have to focus on it and give it the attention it deserves. The laws of attraction are the same way. To have them work for you there must be focus and attention given to that thing to which you desire to have. It will not work any other way.

The laws of attraction are really very simple to understand but the application of them is not as easy to apply and many people find themselves giving up just as easily as they started. However the people that really apply the laws to their lives and stick to them will be the oneâ??s finding themselves truly blessed.

The Law Of Attraction Made Simple

The Law of Attraction may or may not be magical, depending on your point-of-view and the experiences you have with it. It can also be argued that it is logical, but in a way that is beyond our current thinking, tapping potentials of the psyche that are seldom explored in familiar culture.
Skeptics argue that it is wishful thinking; but since it can be proved through experience, it appears to be a phenomena in its own right. However, to prove it, you have to suspend all doubt, because doubt is a thought that deletes the desired effect.
The best way to make it work for you is to align your mind, body, and spirit with your intentions.
The consciousness theory is that God is in all things and works through all things. We are all made up of this “God-stuff” that connects the entire universe together. This stuff is called “consciousness.” Consciousness is more than just thinking, which is merely an imagistic and linguistic representation of sense phenomena. Consciousness is the entire spectrum of awareness. However, all you need to create something is some elementary thinking. Your thoughts create your reality. You attract what you imagine and focus on.
The quantum theory is that all atoms in the universe are connected and influence each other. The observer is not independent of the experiment and through the act of observation changes it. Your thoughts send out a magnetic signal to bring about a parallel expression of your image.
How do you make the Law of Attraction work for you?
The process begins by deciding what you want. You should then visualize and feel it as if it has already happened. Finally, let it go.
Sometimes this is enough for something to show up in your reality. At other times, you may have to repeat it a few times. There are no certain rules about it. It really depends on an intuitive grasp of what works best for you.
Often you get approximately what you wanted. Occasionally, you get exactly what you wanted. And, on rare occasions, you get something better than what you wanted.
What determines the quality of the outcome is how clearly you claim it before it shows up. The clearer and more specific the idea, the higher the feeling tone, the more the conviction of it having it now, the better the results will be.
The time for it to show up also varies considerably. It could range from an hour to a year. Again, the clarity and intensity of your mental projection is what determines the speed of delivery.
There are other things, too, that you can do to get better results.
One is to allow your mind to dwell and focus on the idea and be open to new insights and to explore new perceptions. You can look for people, places, or books that will give you more information.
You get what your mind focuses on. The more conscious you can make your focus, the faster it shows up, and the better the quality.
When you project a desire and let it go, the universe goes to work to bringing that pattern into your experience.
Action on your part can help considerably.
Action does two things: it creates congruence with your thoughts and feelings, so all parts of you are in alignment with your desire; and, it creates channels for you to receive.
The Law of Attraction can give you everything you want in your life, but you have to be willing to work with it in an open and experimental fashion before you can master its nuances. It works if you work it.
Meditation also benefits your application of the Law of Attraction. Meditation provides emotional healing. A calm, peaceful mind has much more magnetic power than a scattered, confused mind. Our turbulent emotions are what creates difficulties in manifesting what we truly desire.
By aligning your thoughts, feelings, and actions with what is good, true, and beautiful for you, you can heal your life and improve the world. With the Law of Attraction, you can get the happiness that you deserve.

Can the Law of Attraction Work for You?

If you have read ‘The Secret’ by Rhonda Byrne then you would know about how the ‘law of attraction’ can change your life. Perhaps you haven’t read the book but you may have still heard about it on TV, radio or from a friend. Many people have claimed to have amazing results using the law of attraction but does it really work for everyone? Can it work for you?

It can and it does even without you being aware of it. The way that you think will attract certain things into your life and even if you don’t know how to use this to your advantage you are still using it. Unfortunately many of us use it to our disadvantage because we just don’t know how to use it correctly.

What you really should be asking is how the law of attraction can work for you in a more positive way?

There are two types of people in the world, there are those who seem to have everything go well for them and always succeed in everything that they do and then there are those who always seem to have things go wrong and never succeed with anything.

The first group of people – the successful people who have everything go right for them – will tend to be very positive people. They think positively and as a result those positive thoughts attract more positive things into their lives. When these people take on a challenge they take it on with a positive outlook knowing that they can succeed and therefore they usually do.

The second group of people – the people who everything goes wrong for and never have any success – will tend to be quite negative people. They always think negatively and as a result they attract more negative things into their lives. When these people take on a challenge they take it on with a negative outlook and will often think to themselves that they won’t succeed and as a result the usually fail.

That is basically how the law of attraction works in a nutshell. You attract into your life what you think.

So can the law of attraction work for you? Well it sure can and it sure does, but you really do need to change the way you think so that it can work for you in a more positive way. You can take a course in how to manifest good things into your life that will help you to change the way you think and teach you how to use the law of attraction for the best and most successful outcome.

Law of Attraction – The Most Powerful Law in the Universe

Do you know how powerful your mind really is? Are you aware of the way your thoughts and emotions are the reason for all the things, both good and bad, that have come into your life? Think about the good and bad things in your life. We all have things we love about our lives and things we wish we could change. A lot of us think that the things that happen to us happen by chance and we are out of our control. That is not true! None of us are victims of circumstance. We all just need to learn the rules that will allow us to live full and happy lives so we can participate in the game of life.
You can’t deny that the law of gravity is real because you can see it in action. The Law of the Universe is also very real and even if you don’t believe in it, it still has an affect on your life. The law of gravity is only real on Earth, though, while the Law of the Universe is everywhere and has no limits.
The most important and strongest Universal Law is the Law of Attraction. What the Law of Attraction says is that we attract things that are similar to the things we have or want, or “like attracts like”. Whatever it is that is foremost in your thoughts is what comes into your life. The thing you need to understand about the Law of Attraction is that if you focus on the things you want in your life you will get them but if you focus on the things you do not want then that is what you will end up with.
You are probably wondering why, if this is true, you don’t have that fancy car or that mansion that you have always wanted? Why haven’t the things you want appeared in your life if it is that easy?
The Law of Attraction is very simple and easy to understand. The problem is we have so many thoughts in our minds that we don’t always focus them on the right things. You may think to yourself that you would love to have a new house in your favorite neighborhood. What a lot of people do then, though, is follow that with thoughts of how it won’t ever happen for us. When you throw the negative thoughts in there you change the energy you are sending out into the Universe from positive to negative.
Let’s give this a little more thought. When you doubt your ability to ever get your dream home what kind of emotions are you sending out into the Universe? Your thoughts are negative and are about how you can’t get the things you desire. These thoughts go out into the Universe and prevent your positive thoughts of what you want from coming true.
Think about money, something we all would like more of in our lives. We all have said to ourselves that we wish we had more money. When you have those thoughts, what kind of emotions are you having about money? Are you happy and excited or are you envious of those with money, angry that you don’t have more money and upset at your financial situation? Money is a very emotional issue for most of us and causes a lot anguish and upset. Even if your thoughts of having more money haven’t come true yet it is possible to make them a reality by using the Law of Attraction.

One of the biggest questions that you may have after reading or hearing about the universal law of attraction is what is really in it for me? Why should I learn how to use the law in the first place?

Well, I will give you 5 great reasons why you should…here they are:

1. If you don’t, then you will not experience the life that you could be living. Why put off learning a way that you can really change your life and start living out your dreams that you may have?

2. You can have more money. In these times, many people want to have more money. But most people are stuck in the same rut, doing the same things over and over. Why not break that cycle today?

The Law of Attraction – What You Need to Know

There are certain things that you absolutely need to know when trying to use the Law of Attraction to change your life or to attract more of what you want and less of what you do not want. 

The law of attraction can be best explained as a universal law that states that you will tend to bring into reality what you think about most of the time.  Another way to put it would be to say that you will attract whatever you really expect to in your life.

Most people have a wish list of things they would like to happen,  but still have a much more limited belief in what they expect will happen.  This is why so many people do not ascend to a higher level of achieving their dreams.  The good news is that you can change this and you can begin to do this right now.

 WHAT DO YOU REALLY EXPECT TO HAPPEN?

You see,  you can want a situation to change,  but that does not guarantee that it will.  If you decide to change what you expect to happen,  you will see that things really can change.  It is not enough to just want a certain outcome,  you have to really believe that it will happen. 

It may sound counter-intuitive,  but it can really help you to get past your personal barriers and into a frame of mind where you do begin to experience what you want in life.

Life is meant to be enjoyed and you are meant to have what you want.  Change your expectations of yourself and your situation and you really can change your life!

How to Apply the Law of Attraction in Your Life

Since the early 19th century, back in 1906, William Walker Atkinsons wrote about a subject called “Thought Vibration” and it’s effects on human life. It’s a princiapal that has spanned the ages and has become popular since Rhonda Byrne’s book and DVD “The Secret” recently hit best seller lists.

How to Apply the Law of Attraction in Your Life This can be divided into three simple steps. You don’t achieve it in just any order however ‘ you need to start with step one and finish it before moving on to the next step. The first step of how to apply it in your life is to know what you want and asking the universe for it. It’s very important that you state your goal correctly or you might end up receiving the wrong thing or nothing at all, therefore accurate and explicit law of attraction training is very important.

Let’s say that you desire to have your own car. It’s not potent enough to say “I want to own a luxury car” in the future, becuase the future will never come, instead you need to remain in the “now” and focus your energy, thoughts and feelings in the present. Because of such thoughts, your dream car will never materialize and the future will forever keep it in the future also. If you want to have your own car now, then say it just like that or give it a time limit if you will.

When you know specifically what you wish to achieve, be sure to positively ask the universe for the outcome you wish to achieve. As you become more aware of the law of attraction and how it works, and practice the steps required in manifesting, it will become more natural for you over time. You can do this simply by focussing and directing your thoughts out to the universe in a concentrated way. The mere act of thinking is actually drawing it to you already so as long as you focus your thoughts on your goals, you’ve already stated your request and consider it heard by the universe. I’ve discovered that some excellent law of attraction cd’s are worth investing in to expand on your knowledge, as The Secret Law of Attraction DVD is only scratchign the surface of the knowledge out there.

The next step in applying this general law of attraction in your life is to act and behave as if you already know that the wheels of life are already turning to get you what you want. Sometimes (more often than not) this is the most difficult thing to do, becuase most people cannot cease to worry, when there is no rock solid evidence that your goals will be achieved?

Let’s say that you want your daughter to heal from her sickness. How can you proceed without worrying when it’s your daughter’s life at stake? But that’s what you have to do if you wish for the law of attraction to work for you.

Lastly, you have to allow things to happen as they are meant to be. This means consciously thinking (specifically vizualization and law of attraction techniques), speaking, and acting positively. Feeling good within yourself, will align you with the right energy and put you on the right path. If you’re feeling bad, you’re making it harder for you to achieve your goals.

While waiting for your goal to actualize, you should take special care in not using negative words with the law of attractoin, espescially when thinking or speaking. If you want to diet, for instance, you don’t think “I will not eat anymore” because the universe won’t be able to absorb the word no. In actuality all is notices is “I will eat”. If you want to diet, you have to focus on a statement like “I will lose weight”.

In the end, remember that you won’t really lose anything if you try out the general law of attraction for yourself. So go ahead and give it a try!

Law of Attraction: Train Your Mind

For many people worldwide, the Law of Attraction is a very confusing concept. Thoughts become things: what are thoughts anyways? Like attracts like: What does that mean? In order to succeed with the Law of Attraction, you need to train your mind. At the end of the day, there are two things that are certain about the universal law of attraction:

 

 

Breaking down the two facts above, it becomes very clear that our job is to control our thoughts.

 

 

The fact is that many people are unable to control their thoughts to bring in desired results. The reason for this is simple: One negative thought into your head expands, and results in several other negative thoughts. Therefore, that one negative thought leads to emotional displeasure, which creates an unfavorable reality.

 

In order to master the power of your mind, you have to completely change your mindset about the law of attraction. The following paradigm shift resulted in a MASSIVE change in my life: Instead of trying to control my thoughts, I decided to TRAIN MY MIND.

 

If a person can train to play the guitar, train to be a professional athlete, train to get a 6-pac, you too can train your mind to achieve success.

 

The key thing with the word “train” is improvement. It’s building momentum. This word has a sort of “determination” towards it. Since you are training your mind, you can’t give up right?

 

The good news is that training your mind is a lot easier than training to become a professional athlete! I’ll give you three reasons why training your mind is simple:

 

 

The essence of what you are doing is training your mind to be totally relaxed, and

Absent of negativity. The challenge is to be conscious about this all the time. Don’t worry though, as you build momentum, it will become first nature to you.

 

      One of the most important points I want to highlight is that you don’t need to try to focus specific thoughts. If you try to think of having all that money, you will be constantly reminded by your subconscious that you’re broke. The key is to have your mind completely relaxed. There is no better feeling.

 

       When your mind is completely relaxed, you are in harmony with your inner spirit. When you are in harmony with your inner spirit, everything you want will flow to you like the Mississippi river.
